Song-Editing
When editing songs, try to keep them in an uncompressed, lossless format (.wav or .aif, NOT .mp3 or an iTunes format, such as .m4a).
- AudioGrabber for ripping CDs in Windows.
- Audacity is a sound editor with versions for Windows, Mac, and Linux.
- Roxio with (some free trials here) for Windows users.
- ImgBrn for writing CDs in Windows.
- Garage Band (should come with OS X) for Mac users. Can import a track, edit, and write .aiff files.
- Switch for all your file conversation needs, with free versions for Windows and OS X. Great for converting .aiff on a Mac to .wav for Windows users.
