Why did you want the position you currently hold?
  • My experience as a council officer last year made me realize how important it is to keep the motivation and drive of council as a whole going because council is pretty much what makes our organization. So I thought I'd put my love for OYFA and to another level: by reminding council why they do what they do and be there for them when they need help! And knowing that I have a great group on council makes my job so much easier :)
If you could have any other position in OYFA at this very moment, what would it be and why?
  • Because I already did ISIP (even though I'd probably do that over and over if I could), I think I'd try membership. I feel like being able to arrange families would be cool, minus the hours you actually have to spend to sort everyone out.
What does it means to you to be Filipino?
  • More than eating adobo/balut or speaking Filipino (Tagalog), being Filipino to me means that you value the Philippines, its people, its present, and all the history that goes into what made it ours. It's about being part of a tradition that values family and culture.
If you had three wishes, what would they be?
  1. The power to teleport to and from the Philippines or other countries as I wish. And I want to be able to take other people with me, just like in the movie Jumper. How amazing would it be to travel without worrying about money??
  2. 1 blink sleep, as in I want to be able to blink or close my eyes for 8 seconds and have it equivalent to 8 hours of sleep. That way, I don't have to worry about wasting so much time trying to read because I always just end up falling asleep and I wouldn't have to miss out on anything!
  3. I want to meet Pope John Paul II. So if there was a way to go back in time or raise him from the dead, that would make my life!
Did you know that the Philippines is regarded the “text capital of the world”? About 350 to 400 million SMS (Short Message Service) or text messages are sent daily by 35 million cell phone subscribers in the country, which is more than the total daily text messages sent in the U.S. and Europe, together.

Just sharing.
The powers and duties of the Vice-President shall be:
A. To assume on the aforementioned responsibilities in the event of vacancy of the office of Presidency.
B. To serve as a representative on the Asian Leaders Council (ALC)
C. To coordinate the events and meetings of the committees and to make sure they are on task.
D. To plan and execute a Training Workshop, along with the President, for newly elected Executive Board in April.
E. To organize, along with the President, Executive Board and Council meetings, as well as General Meetings.
F. To ensure, along with the President, that there are two FIND delegates from the University of Virginia in District 7.
